Currently, to be eligible for a board position you must: 

   - Be an Active Member in good standing that has attended less than three (3) meetings (socials).

Executive Board:

​Serves as the governing body of the OESC Thrift Store and Uncle Sam’s Attic. Board meetings are held the second Thursday of every month, though the time and date may be subject to change at the discretion of the President.

Chief Financial Coordinator

- Attend all board meetings.  
- Handle tax filing and compliance.  
- Maintain general fund financial records.  
- Manage OESC funds and assets, ensuring responsible financial operations, including:  
   - Receiving funds from the Thrift Store Assistant Manager/Bookkeeper.  
   - Issuing reimbursements for social expenses.  
   - Maintaining a ledger and all receipts/expenditures.  
- Present itemized monthly financial reports and updated budgets at Executive Board meetings.  
- Prepare the annual projected budget for general funds, to be presented at the May business meeting.  
- Compile semi-annual budget revisions for presentation at the November business meeting.  
- Serve as acting Charitable Funds & Scholarship Coordinator in their absence or when the position is vacant.  

Charitable Funds & Scholarship Coordinator

​- Attend all board meetings.  
- Maintain charitable funds financial records.  
- Manage charitable and scholarship funds and assets, ensuring responsible financial operations, including:  
   - Making authorized disbursements and signing checks as needed.  
   - Maintaining necessary bank accounts and financial records, including a ledger and receipts/expenditures.  
   - Recording amounts and dates paid to each organization.  
- Oversee all charitable funds, ensuring appropriate use of donations and grants.  
- Maintain records of all charitable donations, expenditures, and transactions. 
- Present itemized monthly financial reports and updated budgets at Executive Board meetings.  
- Prepare the annual projected budget for scholarships and charitable donations, to be presented at the May business meeting.  
- Compile semi-annual budget revisions for presentation at the November business meeting.  
- Represent OESC at all AWWA meetings and trips, both on and off-island.  
- Maintain communication with organizations requesting financial assistance, deliver checks, and obtain receipts for charitable donations.  
- Submit charitable fund requests to the Executive Board for a vote unless pre-approved in the budget.  
- Establish minimum standards for scholastic performance.  
- Promote a positive attitude among members toward achieving outstanding academic success.  
- Assist the Chief Financial Coordinator as needed.  
- Serve as acting Chief Financial Coordinator in their absence or when the position is vacant.  

Activities Chair

-Attend all board meetings

-Assist the 2nd Vice President (Events Coordinator) with all duties, including but not limited to:

   -Event Planning & Coordination: Help brainstorm, organize, and structure events to meet community and organizational needs.

   -Management of Event Budget: Collaborate on budget planning, monitor expenditures, and ensure events stay within financial limits.

   -Vendor & Venue Coordination: Serve as a secondary point of contact, supporting vendor communication and securing venues.

   -Event Promotion: Aid in creating and distributing promotional materials, increasing awareness and attendance for events.

   -Creative Programming: Contribute innovative ideas to make events engaging and memorable for attendees.

   -Event Setup & Execution: Assist with the physical setup, troubleshooting, and smooth operation of events on the day of execution.

   -Post-Event Evaluation: Help gather feedback, analyze event success, and identify areas for improvement for future planning.
