What is it?

The OESC Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded to eligible dependents of military and DoD personnel stationed in Okinawa (Proof of PCS Orders required). 

​

It is open to members of all branches of service and bases located in Okinawa.

​

Applicant does not need to reside in Okinawa, but sponsor must be currently stationed in Okinawa.

Eligibility

  • Current High School Senior 

  • Military Spouse (Starting or Continuing College)

  • Dependent Child (Continuing College Student)

​

  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university located
    in the United States.

​

  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale.

Scholarship  Timeline

  • 1 Febuary - Applications will be available online.

  • 15 March - Application & all supporting documents must be received by 11:59pm JST.

  • 1 May - Award notifications are made.

  • Mid May- Awards Banquet

  • 20 June- School information and Enrollment Verification Form due.

Application Availability

  • Applications will be available for download on 1 February.
